i decided to drive down to the southcenter america's best sunday after my little workout class so i could re-order eyeglasses since toby decided to gnaw my two pairs to bits recently.  it's about a 45 minute drive for me so when i got there only to find a gang of people and a couple employees standing outside waiting for mgmt to arrive to let everybody in i was a little upset.  i waited around for about 1/2 hr before i bailed.  i just wasted an hour and a half on the road, not to mention gas $!  grr!  so after my uneventful trip i started hunting around the internet for glasses like the one of the pairs toby chewed and got these for over 50% what i paid for at america's best from eyeglasses4all.com.  i'm a little weary since eyeglasses4all.com wasn't rated very well here.  however, i did call the phone no. listed on the site to see if i could get a person on the line to tell me about how long the entire process takes and didn't encounter the full voicemail issues people were reporting so i've got my fingys crossed i didn't just get scammed...

i just got notice eyeglasses4all.com doesn't have my glasses in stock. i've opted for the following as replacements: (i'm going to be mega pissed they don't have either of these guys in stock!)

scored some really awesome relaxed fit woven capris at target to replace the capris i have w/ the hole in the ass crack + some other pants i'm donating b/c they fit funny --- thumbs down to fold-over yoga pants. had to alter them a bit by adding ties @ the bottom of each leg to make them look more tapered so i don't look like a yuppie eastside soccer mom. heh!

i've switched us to original blend american spirt rolling tobacco in my feeble attempt to ween us off of cigarettes. switching from marlboro menthol lights to american spirit lights (yellow box) significantly cut down our smokey consumption so i'm hoping the pain of having to roll-your-own will motivate us to eventually quit or at least reduce our current intake by like x5. wish us luck! :)

we hit up carnation golf course yesterday and ran out of balls at the 17th hole! i was playing SUPER wonky --- lost 6 hot pink precept lady iq balls (thumbs down btw!) + at least 3 random strays we picked up along the way!  today, brad had this really great idea to pick up a bunch of different brands + ball types to see which one we each played the best with.  here's what went down @ tall chief...

umm so brad was right...  i wasn't totally sold on the ted baker weekender + ended up returning it for the tory burch dayton messenger.  i hated the fact that my stuff was sloshing around in the weekender.  best part about the dayton bag, besides the fact that it fits all my shit, is that the strap is convertible.  it can go from messenger slingy to shoulder-bag shorty.  cool, huh?  plus, it's not as busy as the weekender so i'm thinking it suits me better.  it was a bit pricer than the weekender, but was also on sale + i like it lots over the other so i figure it's ok b/c if i'm going to throw down any amount of money i'd better be in love w/ the damn thing.  brad is already betting i return it in a week b/c i'm a cheap-o-potamus + don't like parting w/ that kind of cash.  ugggggh!  shopping is soooooo hard!  heh!
